Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal, in response to a Twitter user, said: "Also good things take time. Remember Arbitrum one took 1 year+ to fully blossom. Polygon zkEVM ecosystem is getting ready for a big boost with critical infra deployments like safe, oracles like Chainlink coming in, UX improvements per early devs feedback, cost optimisations using data compression and so much more. Plus there is no rule that an existing token can't do a massive airdrop.
Since Polygon zkEVM is not launching a new token and more than 92% of $MATIC tokens are already in circulation, the market has always believed that there will be no airdrop for the new Polygon zkEVM. Sandeep's response seems to imply that a large-scale airdrop may happen in the future.
